Best wishes to all our members running in the London Marathon this coming Sunday. I will be on the course taking photographs - so if you hear someone shout 'smile' you must smile - no excuses. Charlie.

There is now a link for each member so that all photos taken since 1st Jan 08 are displayed for that member. The search string is of the form :- http://79.170.40.55/elyrunners.org.uk/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=search&search=Name Simply replace "Name" at the end with your first name or surname. (If you need to use first name AND surname i.e. neither is unique in Ely Runners, separate them with a * not a space). Clickable links are also available at http://www.elyrunners.co.uk/members.htm under the column ALL(Photos). The database page now has stats for the most photographed and most viewed (all-time and for each year from 2008 onwards) sorted by total number of hits descending - See RESULTS> Database

You all put on a wonderful 10k again. I really enjoyed it and it compared well organization-wise to the ones I do in the States. My wife pr'd and I had a solid run. Thanks again! Harvey Gayer (Athens, Georgia, USA)

Well done to all those who competed in the RNR for Ely Runners - it was a pleasure and a privilege to watch fantastic running all the way round (most of it through half-asleep eyes!) and to see the C&C and ER ladies team do so well in their first year. The organisation that goes into this event shouldn't be forgotten and everyone did a great job. Congratulations on a brilliant result all round!

A huge thank you to all who helped at the Grunty Fen half marathon yesterday - it appears that the race was a big success once again and this can only happen when we have the kind of enthusiastic support that was so abundantly on display yesterday!

I would like to thank the Chairman, Committee and Members of Ely Runners for the remarkable framed collage of members, the extraordinarily inventive photograph album, and the engraved pewter tankard to record my twenty enjoyable and rewarding years as Secretary of Ely Runners. As I was left somewhat speechless on presentation of these after the AGM last night, I would like to make amends here by recording my deep appreciation and gratitude for these very kind gestures.
